When introducing new tools within a classroom, it is important that you make sure to consider what it will do for your students. It’s best to ask yourself what you want your students to get out of the technological tool you are introducing to them. Since I will be in an art classroom, I will have to try to find a way to bring technology into the classroom that won’t be distracting to my student's creative process. So when researching new technologies and creating my lesson plans, I will have to make sure they have a purpose to what I am going to be teaching. For example, I will try to introduce some sort of technological tool that helps my students plan out their projects.
There are a lot of positive effects on students from using technology in a classroom. They help to improve comprehension skills, and writing skills. For example, if you introduce your students to google docs, they will be able to improve on spelling and grammar because of the tools within it. It also improves children's reading skills when they are able to listen to an audiobook because they can hear the words being emphasized and they don’t have to have a parent or teacher reading it to them to pick up on these skills.
There are some things that do get in the way of technology in classrooms. For example, some teachers did not grow up in a time of technology and don’t want to use it in their classrooms. There are also a lot of teachers who haven’t had proper training and don’t know how to use technology in a proper manner. It can also be hard to apply new technologies in a classroom because you may not have the device to do so.Overall, it is important to use technology in a classroom and I will definitely try to include it by using the framework of TPACK. One question that I do have is how do I make sure that I follow TPACK and how do I make sure I do so successfully? I do think that this will be the future for most of our classrooms and that we will do a lot for students by bringing more technology into our schools.

I do agree for our generation that most of our teachers did not grow up the use of technology and do not want to use it in their classrooms.

What tools have you used so far that you think might benefit student learning in an art class setting? As you said, it is always important to use tools that have a purpose and are applicable to the subject matter. What can you do to familiarize yourself with more tools, and how will you choose from those tools the ones that you will incorporate? I love your thought process.
